Shur Architects was responsible for master planning, interior design and building redesign to accommodate new departments and rapid growth of services. This 45,000 SF d project will house conference and theater style meeting rooms, Marketing and Retail Operations offices. along with a major emphasis on security and design for State Police facilities. Transition space for office reorganization included 40 workstations plus five temporary trailers for commission meetings and lottery equipment.

Responsibilities included definition of construction related activities, including painting, ceiling treatment, carpeting, interior reconstruction and communications wiring. Deliverables included Cost estimate of construction and established standards for lighting, noise and air quality.  Obtained data on space requirements and adjacencies.  Coordinated design standards for new furniture and equipment. Evaluated reuse of existing furniture systems.  Worked with Lottery staff to plan, implement and coordinate moves according to needs of 11 separate departments: I.e. director’s offices, assistant director’s offices, purchasing, accounting, human resources, player services, “hot line”, video support, marketing, retail operations and state police.
